We started with four and now 14 children have homes here.

This is the family that started the Orphanage in August 2004, although we had cared for them from March. Kavata, Kyalo, Raphael and Kongu. Their mother was seriously ill and dying of AIDS. They were scavenging in dustbins and begging to survive as they had no adult to support them.

They look a lot different today as you will see on the photos page later.

Sarah Hillman is the driving force behind this project and the complete story is to follow. Sarah was born in Kenya and is now resident in Frome, Somerset, England. Her sister works with the Trust in Kitui.
